MGABBYB ::: Favorites Hi Dr Mercola, I was diagnosed with pre-diabetes. My DR called with the results. 'you have pre-diabetes, take care of yourself, because you don't wan't to be a full blown diabetic, see me in 3 months, and we'll check again'. It scared me, so, I went online. I stopped eating sweets. I mix my juice with seltzer. I eat less pasta and breads. I do some exercise. I take a natural supplement. I switched from sugar to Splenda. Do you have any other suggestions? Thanks, Mary 07-02-16 01:18:11 _____________________________________________________
Spectres ::: Favorites I've had type 1 diabetes for 34 years w/o any complications. The type 2 diabetics of today really don't take their situation serioulsy. The fatness of America is going to bankrupt this country. These fat Type 2's don't realize that poor control causes complications down the road..not NOW. Many doctors tell their patients to keep their sugars below 150 (which is still way too high). Bottom line...people will not change their eating habits and they don't want to exercise. 07-02-16 01:22:04 _____________________________________________________
msbfd ::: Favorites Real work is SO much more rewarding than "exercise". Help an elderly person grow a garden. You'll get your exercise, you'll feel better for helping someone, you'll meet someone interesting you might not have otherwise, and the vegetables will taste SO MUCH BETTER that you will spontaneously eat more of them. A REAL carrot is almost as good as a candy bar once you get off sugar, but a commercial "orange cellulose stick" is another matter entirely. 07-02-16 04:11:40 _____________________________________________________
Pocketafro ::: Favorites Splenda is as bad as aspartame, just search for it in google. xylitol and stevia are healthier options. Mercola also has clips about splenda and sucralose on youtube, check them out. 07-02-16 04:48:44 _____________________________________________________

1Sunrose ::: Favorites Wow ! thanks for the info. Thanks for the video trip to the ocean! I loved it! I live in north east USA and we just had 20 inches of snow! It's a workout to get out of the driveway. 07-02-16 13:15:55 _____________________________________________________
SlyOldCurmudgeon ::: Favorites Just saw your clip today, good info. I have been Type Two for 30 years, taking oral meds, am in my 80th year, old pharmacist, What puts me off are the people who say "I am a borderline diabetic." Yes, like a woman saying I am just borderline pregnant! I shudder to see the overweight people who if not now, will soon be Type II unless very lucky. Our health care system here in Canada is being overtaxed by such people. Wake up America! 07-02-20 09:15:51 _____________________________________________________ |
