puddysma ::: Favorites Religion is a function of man's attempt to understand life. Politics is a function of man's attempt to protect his society. Both probably have their origins back in the caves. They clans back then and they separate us now...unfortunately. If one CHOOSES to be separated there are a million things to use to separate us. Arrogance is one of those things and to suppose one knows and understands the fears and desires of another is arrogance. Here is what I do know: Life is wonderous and engrossing to me and many others. Humans are in many ways very distinct from animals. Thermodynamics leads me to lean towards a singularity at the beginning, but I'm not going to, in my naked uncertainty, merely find the nearest available banner that I can perscribe to. You don't necessarily agree with the theory of evolution in that we began in the primodial stew which eventually formed into animals, including early primates, and that over the course of many years of evolution that some of those primates evolved into what has now become the human race? You have an emmense respect for life and it's complexity and think that there is currently not enough evidence to viably support any currently public theory. abortedsoul ::: Favorites Micro evolution has been proven, as concrete fact. To argue with this is folly. Now, evolution on a large scale has been proven also, beyond any logical doubts. Now, the mechanisms in evolution are also supported heavily by objective, obvious evidence. mdk550 ::: Favorites Nice video, I agree with a lot of it. But you have mentioned how some super-religious/concervative people are close-minded and won't befriend or look at the other side. Thats true to an extent. I think that's the minority you see on television...I consider myself very religious and I believe it is the most important thing in my life, yet almost all my friends are of different faiths.
