fourstarman 2008-03-10 12:34:42 Hey man motor looks very nice. Looks like alot of effort has been put into it. Sounds to me like you have a timing issue. What do you have it set at. I could not see if you are running a vacuum advance, with the idle speeds need to run a cam like that "1100 rpm in the vid" a carb can start pulling vacuum out of its advance port.Advancing the engine much to far at an idle, you could just remove it and plug the port and set your total timing. Should be around 35 degrees at 3500 RPM. Good luck __________________________________________________
fourstarman 2008-03-10 12:27:43 hey your engine looks pretty nice. Looks like alot of effort has gone into it. What do you have your timing set at?? sounds to me like a timing issue. I could not tell if you have a vacuum advance hooked up. Alot of times with the necessary idle speed with a cam that big a carb can start pulling vacuum to the vacuum advance, advancing the timing much to far at an idle. May have to take it off cap the plug on the carb and set your total timing. Should be around 35 degrees at 3500 rpm. __________________________________________________

CLAYTONTHEBRAIN 2007-12-06 19:47:54 you need some better fuel. i think you went overboard with the roller rockers the cam doesnt sound that big. what octane gas are you using? what is your compression ratio? how much lift at the valve and adv duration? flat top pistons and 64 cc heads will give you about 9.75:1 - 10:1 so it shouldnt deisel like that. good luck. __________________________________________________
