Description: I used two of my favorite things --- The Lovin' Spoonful and pictures of Mod girls --- to teach myself iMovie. Enjoy the slideshow, but get up and go go dance if you need! The Lovin' Spoonful had hits in the 1960s with songs "Do You Believe in Magic?" and "Summer in the City." Lead singer and autoharp player John Sebastian composed, and the Spoonful performed, the soundtracks to Woody Allen's "What's Up Tiger Lily?" and Francis Ford Coppola's senior thesis "You're a Big Boy Now." This song is from Coppola's movie. The movie also had the song "Darling Be Home Soon." |

asbochamp ::: Favorites 2007-08-17 09:37:26 If you ever want to explain to your kids exactly what "cool" and "groovy" used to signify in the 60s just get them to listen to these guys! My personal favourite LS song is "Younger Girl" - always reminds me of San Francisco... and of blissfully singing along to it with a beautiful girl in a beautiful place at a beautiful time. Happy days!! May they come again! __________________________________________________

thisismyname007 ::: Favorites 2007-11-27 18:44:07 What makes this song rise above the other bubble gum rock songs is it's good that funky rythm (white boy) and it's suggestive (but nice enough for AM radio). You did good. I love seeing those innocent/sexy/no-silly-cone 'sixties gals too!! __________________________________________________
