Wolfowitz was interviewed in a German magazine about whether the United States really believed that Sadam had Weapons of Mass Destruction prior to the U.S. attacking and occupying Iraq. His reply was..."We knew that Iraq had no Weapons of Mass Destruction...but they were swiming in oil, what were we to do?"

Good comment. I'm afraid you'll probably get another Clinton first though. Poppy and Poppy's friends are quite close with the Clintons. Besides, Hillary attends Bilderberg conferences, so she probably has more friends in high places.

No no no... they captured Iraq and they're still there. It's 'mission accomplished'. They would probably stay a couple of decades if you don't do anything about it. It's sad how acting like even more of a fool than he actually is helps Bush (and his handlers) get away with a lot more than the American people would tolerate from a president who speaks with eloquence.

Bush has always been able to rely on Daddy and Daddy's friends in order to clean up his messes. Junior might have blundered too much this time though. It's sad when a dynasty collapses. May we now return to the democracy?

This president is, by literal definition, is an egomaniac. He has been more interested in how he is going to be written up in history books than doing the righ thing. Watch all his videos, review his speeches and tell me his objective has been anything else. He wants only to leave office being known as the "great war-time" president, therefore, must avoid the responsiblilty of ending the war that made him famous (or one day infamous in the history books).

Training Iraqi troops WAS a cornerstone of the Bush administration's requirements for our eventual withdrawal. Of course, under present conditions, OUR OWN troops are NOT being given enough training before thrown into combat. Bush's exit "strategery" is the rapture or his leaving office, which ever comes first. The incompetence being demonstrated in the prosecution of this war by Bush's administration is disgusting.

The list of reasons to stay in Iraq is shrinking the longer this goes on. And now to say that American troops will have to handle things on their own and put out the belief that Bush is escalating this just so that the next guys can deal with it is pretty much the final nail in the coffin. And of course the Bushies would cry fowl about that. It hits way too close to home for them.
