I still had to take the entrance exam. Scored in the top 5 percent of all students who applied to St Mary's that year. Scored a 1530 on the SAT I had taken years earlier before I joined the military. Trouble was, I went in to the Army with a 136 I.Q. and came out with a 96. Military life with do that.

You're right about the occasional benefits of veteranhood. Under the Chapter 31 Disabled Veterans Vocational Rehabilitation Act, my tuition was fully paid no matter how much it was plus I got living expenses of $600 a month. I never wanted to graduate.
