Description:
I had a few spare minutes before heading off to Gospel Explorations - a bible study that I help to run with several other Jesuits. Feeling nostalgic for my time in Peru, I decided to play this slide (12/8 time) on the whistle/flute I bought last summer in Peru |

FlamingRuby ::: Favorites I like the bluesy feel you give the tune. I like this tune because it's fun to sing, as well 07-04-02 21:40:03 _____________________________________________________

swesimon ::: Favorites very nice playing, just got me a Clark Celtic Tin Whistle today, my first whistle ever, and I must say I got inspired by you and many of the others here on youtube. I've got a question though, do you play all these songs by heart or do you have sheets for them? I can see how your eyes move from left to right, but I'm not sure :) 07-04-04 08:14:26 _____________________________________________________
RyanDunsSJ ::: Favorites I have an dodgy gaze, so I tend to look around all over the place when I'm playing - usually at the monitor! Sometimes I use the sheet music but, in many cases, these are tunes that I've played for many years. 07-04-04 08:25:53 _____________________________________________________
FaoleannOBradaigh ::: Favorites That's a nice whistle you got from Peru, man. Looks to be made of bone or ivory? What key's it in? And regarding the dodgy gaze, that's one of the best things about musicians. When me and my friends have a session, the guitarist and fiddler both stare intently at my face. It can be akward at times so I usually just close my eyes when playing the feadóg. 07-04-13 21:28:48 _____________________________________________________

harmen147 ::: Favorites can i ask how long you are playing the (tin) whistle? grtz harmen147 07-08-09 09:22:01 _____________________________________________________
harmen147 ::: Favorites another question: i've seen on sheet music that you can play like 'half' notes. is there a way to do that in a teaching video? thnx harmen147 07-08-09 10:12:33 _____________________________________________________
RyanDunsSJ ::: Favorites I've played for about 20 years. I'll be glad to include "half-holes" in the next series. 07-08-09 15:18:56 _____________________________________________________
